We all had a great time. The best, however, was the ride home. JoAnne had driven to the restaurant which is in a very fancy mall via the shore road. When it was time to go home she took a wrong turn and we came home through the Gece (Instanbull getto). The road is wide enough for one car and twisty turny. She said she had driven through it with Shane (he goes to the consulate that way because it's faster) but had never driven it a alone, let alone at night. She kept looking for familiar sites. It all looked the same to me. But soon she said, "Oh, I know where I am." It was quite a trip. No one here yeilds to anyone else. They just keep driving. Shane says there are 25 pedistrians killed everyday here. I can see why. No one stops for anything. I thought it was bad in Israel but it is worse here. JoAnne has adapted and just goes for it.
