The interior of the Blue Mosque is so named because of all the blue tiles that were used in the mosiacs. It is truly a remarkable site. We were each given a plastic bag to put our shoes in when we entered. Women had to cover their heads. K. and I bought scarves outside the mosque. Visitors had to enter from a back door. Muslim men entered at the front and did their devotions there. Muslim women were in a screened area.
