The is the Haghia Spohia (Aya Sophia). It was dedicated by Justinian the Great in 537 AD. It was the center of religious life for a thousand years during the Byzantine Empire. Then for five centuries after the Turkish conquest it ranked as fist among the imperial mosques of Istanbul. It was convereted to a museum in 1935. Unfortunately it was closed today.
